Eventually we will be imaging the rocks that contain fossils to determine how much protein, fat and other living tissues were present before it decayed and became preserved. The death scenes will be virtually rewindable at some point so we can determine if the animals was alone or not at death.

This is hardly new. Not even close. A discipline called "taphonomy" has been around for decades, and is precisely what's described in this article. It was already well-developed 50 years ago.
