The poles also happen to be the point where the magnetic field is thinnest, which means that we should also be seriously studying solar interactions in these regions. Consider, e.g., that Venus has a polar vortex which is remarkably like Earth's in that it occasionally splits.

Scientists who are studying this region should consider pursuing the anomalies in this region as research topics. There are many available to choose from. Science is more than just following established narratives.
