Very interesting. Both cuttlefish and octopi are quite intelligent, so it is reasonable that they are flexible predators. It's possible that their ancestors were very successful in previous eras of global warming like the KTM (Cretaceous), PETM, and HTM. If this is so then their genetic heritage may militate toward this increase. Also worthy of note, they are K-strategists, producing many offspring only a few of which mature. This may be a more successful reproduction strategy in a warming ocean.

So Cephalopods are booming, therefore what they feed on must also be booming and so on. Guess what the oceans are booming.
