For the macro you may be well right but hmmm, for the micro & nano, I really really doubt it.

Superposition & other quantum style processes may well result in an equilibrium which spouts out the material indicated without the gross need to expend the energy on any normal scale to achieve & wait around for it to happen, the nano has interesting properties & such things happen "more often than not", it is a Huge chemical engineering playground worthy of exploration, experience so far suggests that, depending upon design, large energy expenditures are not required as nature provides many (quantum type) diverse 'loopholes' to allow "things to happen" & very nicely too for some, I might add :-)
