Yes, but can they work in space? Methinks that no solar cell technology but silicon can do the job there.

@baudrunner - silicon cells in space have largely been replaced by germanium-based triple-junction cells due to the higher power output per weight.
(I would agree, though, that organic solar cells would have a hard time surviving the UV and other radiation is space.)
